Lovefest is a conscious, alcohol-free movement all about connection, self-expression, and creating spaces where people can feel truly alive.
It’s grounded in three simple values — love for self, love for community, and love for the Earth — and everything is created with intention. From the music and facilitators to the flow of the night and even the food, it’s all designed to nourish people and bring them into deeper connection.
It was founded by Joe Figliano after he healed from a disease he was told was incurable, and together with his partner Kat — who brings the heart, wisdom, and systems to grow and sustain it — they’ve co-created a movement that’s really about bringing more love into the world.
Each Lovefest is led by the local community, for the community — bringing together aligned facilitators, artists, and leaders to co-create something that’s unique to that place, but still deeply connected to the wider vision.
I first heard of Lovefest when I met up with an old friend who was camped next to me at Pranafest on the Woodford Folk Festival site in June 2025. Sonya knew me from coming to a Sacred Earth concert about 20 years ago which she said had changed her life. She was now co- creating a LOVEFEST on her community land near Bellingen and wanted me to come along and was keen to introduce me to LOVEFEST founder Joe Figliano. I first went to LOVEFEST at Mullumbimby where I was introduced to Joe and we sat up talking around the fire till after 3am (we had so much in common and it was like chatting with my soul brother – it was 20 years since I had hosted JOYFEST and we shared a similar vision to bring people together through conscious music and connection in an alcohol free environment). I have since been to LOVEFESTS at Bellingen, Tallebudgera Valley and the Blue Mountains.
That’s why I’m here — to help spread the word about LOVEFEST which creates spaces where more people can connect, open, and experience that for themselves.
I had the wonderful opportunity to have two 3 week holidays in Bali in 2025 and fell in love with the Balinese people and their culture so I am very excited to be helping out with LOVEFEST in Bali July 2026
